Volunteering
Noah's Bark is strictly a volunteer based organization, so help is always needed and appreciated. Although fostering is our biggest need... we have many other ways for volunteers to help. Volunteers must be over 18 years of age. Below is a list of some of the items where help is needed:
- Transporting the animals to and from our adoption fair held from noon-3pm on Saturdays in Torrance.
- Professional training services
- Bathing and/or grooming the dogs so they can look their best at adoptions
- Helping out at our Saturday adoptions:
- come early to set up the exercise pens and crates, fill water bowls, etc
- come late afternoon help knock down after adoptions, putting away pens, loading animals
- Laundering dog beds, rugs, towels used at our weekly adoptions
- Performing home deliveries and home checks of potential adopters
- Assembling flyers for available pets and distributing to local vets, pet store, etc
- Assembling periodical newsletters
- Planning & participating in future fund raising
If you think you might be interested in becoming a volunteer, please contact us at (310) 391-5081, or stop by on our pet adoption days we'd be happy to discuss it with you! You also can help by just getting the word out about Noah's Bark and our life-saving programs and services through newspapers, radio, TV and employee newsletters! Help spread the word and help us save more lives!
