Popcorn's Story

Popcorn

Popcorn is a 2 pound Pomeranian puppy that was rescued on 4/20/99. We received a call from Bakersfield about a 6 week old Pomeranian puppy that had been injured and needed rescuing. This puppy was one of two puppies left from a litter. The breeder had a 2 year old daughter who had sat on Popcorn causing brain damage. Lila Hemenway, founder and leader of Noah's Bark, drove to Bakersfield to rescue the injured pup and get her into medical treatment. She also arranged to have the mother spayed and contacted Pomeranian rescue to rescue the other pup.

Popcorn is now almost full grown. She has limited sight and walks in circles she requires special care and needs a constant companion. Please be aware of what can happen to small pets as a result of not supervising the interactions of a child and a small pet. You should never leave a toddler play unsupervised with any pet for the child's safety as well as the pets.

Popcorn was adopted in May 1999
